Darkness In The Soul (May 2017)

Diary entry #4

I long for her cold embrace. Her cold shadowy figure so beautiful and dark, her form so elusive yet firm and soft at the same time. Her coldness whispering soft chills down my spine through the warm and damp summer nights. Matching my own coldness within, generated from my heart. I can feel her slipping from my mind. The memories of her so distant of what we had in that short time we knew each other. It was so powerful, and my soul felt so content. I cannot forget her! I will not forget her!! I want her back... I want us to be together… forever. But how can I find her again? She was a shadow. A dark thing that was cast away from this world by the cursed sun. My true love, please give me a sign and guide me. I swear I will not rest until I have found you again my sweet, dark and twisted shadow.

How would you have felt if you came home, having been away from your loved one for months, only to find out the person you care about the most has gone missing?

What would you have done if there was nothing left other than some photos and your own dwindling memories of this very special person?

Where would you have gone when you discovered there is no leads to follow and the local authorities don’t know how to proceed with the case they have been presented?

To whom would you have turned when you needed help and support?

This is the situation Neil O’Brian, a war on terror veteran faces when he travels home from overseas only to finds his wife, Laura has gone missing.

From that point onward, there’s nothing but layers of torment…

THE LAST TRANSITION

(First written in 2012-2013 and published 29 April, 2018)

"Welcome to Silverstone nursing home. Where the elderly gets the treatment they so dearly deserve and the care they sorely need."

A large mansion richly imbedded in the local history's mining community thirty minutes out of town was turned into a hospital home back in the early 1800's. Since then the estate has gone through many transitions, the last one was being turned into a nursing home for the elderly.

In present day, three years after Ben Pedersen was hired as one of the two janitors on the premises the local community leaders has decided to close the nursing home and move the operation to a new facility within the town's borders. Now, with only one week to go before a new transition begins and the mansion will be turned into a museum, strange things starts to plague the nursing home.

Dan and Ben, the mansion's two janitors are unwillingly pulled into a mystery which involves apparitions and horrible visions of the past. Ben seems to be the person who is particularly targeted by the area's dark and twisted past and at times he feels he is being sought out by unnatural forces which seems to have been woken within Silverstone nursing home.
